Who needs ink fingerprint cards
Many employers, licensing boards and government agencies still ask for fingerprints on a physical card instead of an electronic submission. Common reasons include:
- Professional and occupational licenses
- Employment background checks
- Out-of-state applications that require a mailed card
- Personal FBI record requests
If your agency sent you instructions, read them before your appointment. They usually say which card to use, how many copies to send and where to mail them.
How the appointment works
We meet you wherever is convenient and roll each finger in ink onto the card. A clean, readable set matters: cards with smudged or incomplete prints can be rejected and slow down your application, so we take the time to get every box right.
Most appointments take about 15 minutes. You pay at the end with cash, card or Cash App.
After your appointment
You’ll leave with your completed cards. Send them to your agency following its instructions. We don’t submit cards on your behalf.
